Coffman Union at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis after local/state police ordered the mostly student protesters to vacate the lawn after arresting 9 the day prior. The protesters continue to demand that the university divest in companies working with Israel’s military.

Peoples Way at George Floyd Square. The one time Speedway gas station has become a protest zone and community meeting spot since George Floyd was murdered in May 2020. The ciy of Minneapolis purchased the building earlier this year.
On November 2nd, 2023, 3 years 5 months after the Minneapolis police 3rd precinct was burned in the days after George Floyd’s murder, City Council has voted 8-5 to approve a replacement site. Now called a “Community Safety Center”, the plan is to rebuild a half mile away at 2633 Minnehaha Av.
