November 2023 — On November 2nd, 2023, 3 years 5 months after the Minneapolis police 3rd precinct was burned in the days after George Floyd's murder, City Council has voted 8-5 to approve a replacement site. Now called a "Community Safety Center", the plan is to rebuild a half mile away at 2633 Minnehaha Av.
