On the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder the street he was killed on was officially changed to George Perry Floyd Square. His family along with the Mayor and City Council Member Andrea Jenkins attended.

On the 2 year anniversary of his murder and a couple weeks after the commemorative street name was changed to George Perry Floyd Square, a sign was revealed.
Afterwards the community held an Angelversary Candlelight Vigil at Say Their Names Cemetery.
