A "Stop The Steal" protest took place outside the Minnesota Governor's Residence in St. Paul on December 5, 2020. Protesters gathered on Summit Avenue, near the intersection with Chatsworth Street, to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, with many displaying "Back The Blue" and "Keep America Great" flags. The Minnesota State Patrol maintained order, positioned in front of the Governor's Residence, which serves as the official residence and ceremonial home for Minnesota's governor. Constructed in 1912, the historic residence on Summit Avenue has been the site of numerous public gatherings and protests throughout its history, reflecting its role as a symbol of state leadership.
