Minneapolis Police & Hennepin Sheriff Respond to Noise Demo

Police look for protesters on new years
On New Year's Eve, approximately 100 individuals gathered in Downtown Minneapolis for a nationwide protest supporting those imprisoned by the state. Following an incident where the Hennepin County Jail was spray-painted, multiple law enforcement agencies, including Minneapolis Police, State Patrol, Golden Valley Police Department, and Hennepin County Sheriffs, responded to the area. This coordinated response, which included state aerial surveillance, led to the arrest of dozens of participants. Officers in tactical gear are visible, reflecting the significant law enforcement presence deployed during the event in the urban environment of Downtown Minneapolis.
