Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis houses county courts and administrative offices. The building at 300 South 6th Street was designed by John Carl Warnecke and completed in 1977. It became a central security site in early 2021 as Hennepin County prepared for the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
