Minneapolis Democracy Center Site, Former 3rd Precinct

Future home of the Minneapolis Democracy Center
The site of the former Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct is undergoing redevelopment, marked by a construction fence and banners announcing its future purpose. This building was significantly damaged by fire during the Minneapolis Uprising in May 2020, following the murder of George Floyd. It is now being transformed into the Minneapolis Democracy Center, a new civic hub for the community. The center is planned to host essential services such as early voting, election judge training, voter outreach, and provide general community space.
