Floyd Lock at Hennepin County Courthouse During Chauvin Trial
Locks bearing the names of victims of police violence were placed on fencing surrounding the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis during the trial of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. The locks served as a memorial and a symbol of protest. They were removed from the fencing the following day, April 14, 2021, after being in place for approximately one week.
