Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct Protest on Inauguration Day
Protesters gathered outside the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2021, to advocate for community control of the police. The precinct had been set ablaze during protests following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020 and was still under reconstruction. This demonstration occurred less than three weeks after the fatal police shooting of Dolal Idd, an event that further fueled tensions and calls for police reform in Minneapolis.
