Protesters gathered outside the Minneapolis Police Fifth Precinct on Nicollet Avenue on August 16, 2020. During the Minneapolis Uprising, individuals assembled to grill hot dogs, creating a temporary community space. The Fifth Precinct, a facility of the Minneapolis Police Department, served as a focal point for public expression and protest during this period of social unrest. Metal barriers were erected in front of the building, separating the protesters from the police station.
