Hollywood Theater Projection Room: Pepsi Can and Milk Duds

The projection room of the Hollywood Theater at 2815 Johnson Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, contains remnants of its operational past, including a Pepsi can and Milk Duds box. This Streamline Moderne cinema, opened in 1935, is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance. The theater closed in 1987, unable to compete with video stores and larger venues, leaving its equipment and personal items behind. The property was sold in 2015 to a developer with plans to renovate the historic structure.
