MLK & George Floyd Mural, Red Cow, Uptown Minneapolis

George Floyd and MLK mural on boarded Red Cow windows on Hennepin Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis.
A mural on the boarded windows of the Red Cow restaurant on Hennepin Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis honors George Floyd and Martin Luther King Jr. Painted after Floyd’s killing in 2020, the temporary storefront artwork includes the words “Rest in Power George Floyd Say His Name” and a quotation attributed to King. The boards turned the closed restaurant frontage into a memorial and protest surface during a period of unrest and mourning in Minneapolis.
