Iron Door Pub, Lyndale Ave, Minneapolis, Protest Graffiti

Boarded Iron Door Pub on Lyndale Avenue, Minneapolis, with BLM and protest graffiti in June 2020.
The Iron Door Pub on Lyndale Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis is boarded up in early June 2020, with plywood covering its windows and doors. Messages including “BLM,” “Stay Safe,” “MPLS Strong,” and “Look for the helpers” are spray-painted across the boards. The image was made during the protests and unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd, when many Minneapolis businesses along corridors such as Lyndale Avenue and nearby Lake Street covered storefronts for protection.
