Security fencing surrounds the Minneapolis Police 5th Precinct at night. This measure was installed as written closing arguments were submitted in the case of Tou Thao, one of the officers involved in the killing of George Floyd. The precinct has been a focal point of protests and unrest in Minneapolis following Floyd's death in May 2020.
