London Eye Passenger Capsule at South Bank Embarkation

A passenger capsule of the London Eye is shown docked at its South Bank embarkation point. Opened in 2000, the London Eye was designed by Marks Barfield Architects and was the world's tallest observation wheel at the time of its completion. Its 32 glass capsules, each capable of holding up to 25 passengers, offer a 30-minute rotation providing panoramic views of London. The structure, a significant piece of modern engineering and architecture, has become a prominent landmark on the River Thames.
