Target Lake Street Reopening Art Installation, Minneapolis

Target we stand together banners after reopening
An art installation by Juxtaposition Arts (JXTA) adorns the facade of the Target store on Lake Street in Minneapolis, marking its reopening. The retail store was significantly damaged and looted during the initial days of the Minneapolis Uprising in May 2020, situated across from the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct. This public art project, featuring messages like 'WE STAND TOGETHER BUILD TOGETHER,' symbolizes community resilience and the ongoing efforts to rebuild. It serves as a visual statement of solidarity and hope for the future of the Lake Street corridor.
