Opened in 2016 and designed by HKS Architects, the venue serves as the home of the Minnesota Vikings and a premier multi-purpose arena for concerts, major sporting events, and conventions. Its faceted steel and glass shell evokes the prow of a Viking ship, a nod to the team’s heritage, while its translucent ETFE roof allows natural light by day and reflects ambient light by night. This structure replaced the collapsed Metrodome and now anchors the eastern edge of the Minneapolis skyline as one of the most distinctive modern stadiums in the United States.
