August 2025 — The Minneapolis community gathered at Lynnhurst Park last night for a vigil following the mass shooting at Annunciation School and Church earlier in the morning. 2 children were killed and 17 others injured. The crowd heard from speakers ranging from the Minnesota Attorney General, Minneapolis Mayor and City Council Members, and Congresswomen.

May 2025 — Marcia Howard and another man put their arms on each other during a performance on the Rise and Remember stage.

July 2022 — On July 14, 2022, a vigil was held outside the Minneapolis apartment building where Tekle Sundberg died during a police standoff. Attendees gathered with candles and flowers, illuminating a chalk message on the sidewalk that read "TEKLE SUNDBERG." Marcia Howard addressed the crowd at the site of Sundberg's death.
