Minneapolis K-Mart Fire Aftermath, October 20, 2023

The aftermath of a fire at a former K-Mart in South Minneapolis on October 20, 2023. This building previously served as a temporary post office from November 2020 until late summer 2023, following the arson attacks that destroyed two other South Minneapolis post offices in May 2020. Firefighters continued to battle the blaze at the Lake Street location, which had been a significant site for postal services during the rebuilding efforts after the 2020 Minneapolis Uprising.
