The IDS Center and Foshay Tower stand above Interstate 94 in downtown Minneapolis. The IDS Center, completed in 1972, is 792 feet tall, the tallest building in Minnesota. The Foshay Tower, finished in 1929 and modeled after the Washington Monument, held that title until the IDS Center surpassed it.
