Temporary Cub Community Market at Night, Lake Street, Minneapolis

Temporary Community market grocery store on Lake Street
The Cub Community Market, a temporary grocery store, was established on Lake Street in Minneapolis to address food insecurity after the original Cub Foods suffered extensive fire damage. This damage occurred during protests in May 2020, which followed the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police. The large tent structure, seen here at night, provided essential food access to the community while the permanent store was rebuilt. Its grand opening was scheduled for July 8th, serving as a vital resource for the neighborhood.
