Guanacaste Coast

Coastal Guanacaste: shorelines, resort development and wildlife from El Jobo to Junquillal

This set documents locations along the Guanacaste Coast in northwestern Costa Rica, showing built and natural features from El Jobo to Junquillal. Images include an abandoned hut at the former Santa Elena Resort, views of new and established hotels such as an all‑inclusive resort at Jobo Bay, and lookout points on the coastline. Multiple photographs record rocky shorelines and tidal pools at Playa Escondida and Jobo Bay at different light conditions. The set also includes wildlife observations, notably a white‑faced capuchin in a coastal tree and a white‑throated magpie‑jay perched on a railing.
