Law enforcement vehicles, including a "BEAR" tactical unit, and officers from multiple agencies surround the Brooklyn Center Police Department building. The presence of the National Guard, Hennepin County Sheriffs, and Minnesota State Patrol indicates a significant public gathering. This response occurred in the aftermath of the killing of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, who was shot by a Brooklyn Center police officer during a traffic stop on April 11, 2021. The incident sparked widespread protests and calls for justice, with demonstrators holding signs such as "Black Lives Matter."
