These protests began on May 26, 2020, following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. On the second day of protests, a crowd gathered near the precinct, which served as a focal point for public outcry against police brutality. Officers, protected by metal barriers, maintained a perimeter as protesters voiced their grievances.
