British Railways Logo on Train at Green Bay Railroad Museum
The "Cycling Lion" logo, representing British Railways, is displayed on the side of a train car at the Green Bay Railroad Museum. This logo was in use from 1948 to 1965, during the period when British Railways was a nationalized entity formed from the amalgamation of numerous private railway companies. The emblem features a red lion rampant, a symbol of Scotland, holding a spoked wheel, signifying rail transport, and is encircled by a crown, representing the monarchy. The museum preserves and exhibits railway heritage, including rolling stock from various eras of British rail history.
