Devils Tower National Monument and its surrounding landscape in northeastern Wyoming

Devils Tower National Monument is located in northeastern Wyoming and was designated as the first U.S. national monument in 1906. The monument is notable for its striking geological formation rising above the surrounding prairie and forests, and has long held significance for Native American tribes in the region. The nearby Belle Fourche River and open rangelands highlight the area's characteristic landscape and agricultural use.

Devils Tower draws visitors for its historical, geological, and cultural importance. It stands as a well-known natural landmark and plays a role in the interpretation of early conservation efforts in the United States. Today, the monument and adjacent lands are utilized for tourism, education, and local agriculture, with visitor accommodations such as the Devils Tower KOA campground providing access to the site.
