With many carrying Winston Smith and Deona Marie signs, the crowd of around a thousand marched through Uptown Minneapolis neighborhoods before returning back to Lake Street and Girard Ave for a candlelight vigil where Deona Marie was killed last night by a man driving into protesters. Winston Smith was killed by law enforcement on June 3rd and Deona Marie was killed when a man drove a vehicle through protesters barricades. Included in the Minneapolis Uprising archive, filed in the June 2021 album, documenting events following the May 25, 2020 murder of George Floyd.
