Pearl Paint and 310 Discount Mall, Canal Street

Pearl Paint and the 310 Discount Mall on Canal Street in Manhattan mark a stretch of the street known for discount retail and specialty shops. Pearl Paint was a longtime New York art-supply store whose Canal Street location advertised itself as the “World’s Largest Art & Graphic Discount Center.” Canal Street is a major east-west corridor through Lower Manhattan and a longstanding commercial street bordering Chinatown.
