Gethsemane Episcopal Church stands at 905 4th Avenue South in downtown Minneapolis. The congregation was organized in 1856, making it one of the oldest Episcopal parishes in the city, and the current limestone building dates to the 1880s in a Gothic Revival style. The church has long served an urban parish role, offering outreach programs alongside regular worship. It sits within blocks of the Minneapolis Convention Center and the city's Loring Park neighborhood, surrounded in recent decades by high-rise residential towers built up around the older structure.
