The Uptown Theater on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis reopened on its original date, October 23, following a period of closure and a change in ownership. The theater, a landmark since its construction in 1926, has historically served as a venue for film screenings and live performances. Its distinctive marquee and facade are characteristic of early 20th-century cinema architecture. The reopening marks a new chapter for the beloved Minneapolis institution, aiming to continue its cultural role in the city.
