Minneapolis Police 2nd Precinct with Razor Wire & Barricades
The Minneapolis Police Department Second Precinct in Northeast Minneapolis is fortified with concrete barricades and razor wire. These extensive security measures were implemented in response to the widespread protests and civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The fortifications reflect the heightened tensions and the need for protection of public infrastructure during a period of significant social upheaval. Graffiti reading "Hold Fast" on one of the concrete barriers further contextualizes the atmosphere surrounding the Minneapolis Uprising.
