Hennepin County Government Center: Locks for Police Violence Victims

Locks memorializing victims of police violence are attached to fencing at the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis.
During the trial of Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, locks bearing the names of victims of police violence were attached to the fencing surrounding the Hennepin County Government Center. These locks serve as a memorial to individuals such as Jamar Clark, Thurman Blevins, Philando Castile, Marcus Golden, Chiasher Vue, Cordale Handy, and George Floyd, all of whom died in incidents involving law enforcement. The display reflects the community's grief and demands for accountability in the wake of police brutality.
