Brooklyn Center Police and Sheriff officers at fence during protest

Law enforcement officers from the Brooklyn Center Police Department, Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and the National Guard established a perimeter around the Brooklyn Center Police Department. This action followed the death of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old man who was fatally shot by a Brooklyn Center police officer during a traffic stop on April 11th. The presence of multiple law enforcement agencies and the National Guard indicated a significant response to the ensuing community protests.
