Minneapolis I-35W Bridge and Downtown Skyline at Night

The I-35W Mississippi River Bridge spans the Mississippi River, connecting downtown Minneapolis with the surrounding urban areas. Opened in 1967, the bridge was a vital artery for transportation and commerce in the region. Its collapse in 2007 was a significant event in the city's history, leading to a rapid reconstruction effort. The current bridge, completed in 2008, continues to serve as a critical piece of infrastructure for the Twin Cities.
