Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct After Uprising

Minneapolis police sign on the burned 3rd precinct police station
The Minneapolis Police third precinct building, located on Lake Street, is shown on May 1, 2022, fortified with concrete barriers and razor wire. This structure was significantly damaged by fire during protests that followed the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on May 25, 2020. The uprising and subsequent damage to the precinct highlighted widespread public anger and calls for police reform in Minneapolis.
