The Minneapolis Police Third Precinct building on Lake Street in Minneapolis stands burned and heavily damaged on May 31, 2020. Broken windows, charred exterior surfaces, and debris inside the entrance are visible after the fire during protests that followed the killing of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. The precinct was a local police station, and its destruction became one of the most widely recognized images from the unrest in south Minneapolis.
