George Floyd Square at East 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis is shown on June 4, 2020, filled with flowers, handwritten signs, candles, and portraits left in memory of George Floyd. People stand and sit around the memorial at night as tents and informal gathering areas line the street behind it. The intersection became a major site of mourning and protest after Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police on May 25, 2020.
