Protest at Lake and Girard, Minneapolis, after Winston Smith’s death

Protesters gather at the intersection of Lake Street and Girard Avenue in Minneapolis on June 5, 2021. The protest was held in response to the killing of Winston Smith by law enforcement on June 3rd. Deona Marie was also killed when a vehicle drove through barricades during a protest. The graffiti on the utility box reads "Fuck 12 Winston Smith" and "The People Will Be Heard."
