July 2024 — A FirstNet emergency mobile communications truck deployed outside the AT&T building in downtown Milwaukee during the 2024 Republican National Convention. Operated by AT&T in partnership with the federal First Responder Network Authority, these mobile units provide redundant cellular and satellite connectivity for police, fire, and EMS networks during large-scale events. The truck’s rooftop dish and side-mounted antennas allow for secure, high-bandwidth data service when local infrastructure is congested or restricted within a security zone.
