Fires burned outside the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct building on May 28, 2020, following protests that began after the murder of George Floyd. The precinct, located on Lake Street, was a focal point of unrest and was later abandoned by the Minneapolis Police Department. The protests, which occurred during the Minneapolis Uprising, saw significant damage to property, including the burning of shopping carts and other debris.
