The long awaited connection to Lake Street on Nicollet Avenue is getting closer to being finished. For many years Nicollet Avenue was split apart by a K-Mart store. The store was closed and eventually burned while it sat vacant. Part of the Minneapolis Uprising documentation, with this image appearing in the September 2025 album, documenting events after the May 25, 2020 murder of George Floyd.
