Minnesota State Patrol officers and other law enforcement personnel stand guard outside the Minnesota Governor's Residence in St. Paul during a 'Stop The Steal' protest on December 5, 2020. The protest, advocating for the overturning of the 2020 presidential election results, drew both supporters and counter-protesters to the official residence of Governor Tim Walz. Located at 1006 Summit Avenue, the Minnesota Governor's Residence, a 1912 English Tudor Revival mansion, serves as both the home and a ceremonial space for the state's chief executive. Law enforcement agencies, including the State Patrol and local sheriff's departments, were present to maintain order and ensure public safety during the gathering.
