George Floyd Square in Minneapolis, September 2021, is a memorial site established following the murder of George Floyd by police officers in May 2020. The intersection, formerly known as the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, became a focal point for protests against racial injustice and police brutality. The memorial features a large portrait of Floyd, along with numerous tributes, flowers, and messages of remembrance and solidarity painted on concrete barriers that have been placed to block off the area.
