Burned Furniture Store, Chicago Ave, Minneapolis Uprising

The rubble of a former furniture store stands on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. This site was among many businesses damaged or destroyed during the Minneapolis Uprising in May 2020. Adjacent to the debris, a brick building, possibly Chicago-Lake Liquors, bears graffiti, including a prominent smiley face and the word 'ENOUGH'. The widespread destruction along commercial corridors like Chicago Avenue and Lake Street reflected the intensity of the protests following the murder of George Floyd.
