Graffiti messages, including "THE PEOPLE shouldn't be afraid of the gov. The gov should be afraid of THE PEOPLE!!!" and "RISE UP," are spray-painted on the exterior of Minneapolis Midtown Station. These messages appeared during the widespread protests and civil unrest in Minneapolis following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The station, a key transit hub, became a canvas for public expressions of dissent during this period, reflecting sentiments about governmental accountability. Such public displays were characteristic of the urban environment during the Minneapolis Uprising.
