The “Love Hope Unity” mural in an alley in Minneapolis’s Uptown neighborhood covers a long black-painted brick wall with large multicolored graffiti-style lettering. Photographed in June 2020, the work is part of the wave of public art created across Minneapolis after the murder of George Floyd and the protests that followed. Its message of love, hope, and unity places the alley within the city’s wider landscape of memorial and response murals from that period.
