Freedom Road Socialist Organization is a Marxist-Leninist group founded in the 1980s that organizes around anti-capitalist and anti-police causes in cities including Minneapolis. The phrase "the whole damn system is guilty as hell" has circulated in leftist protest movements since the 1970s, often invoked after police killings to argue that reform efforts fall short of addressing root causes.
