A crowd gathers outside the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis on April 20, 2021, awaiting the verdict in the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin was charged in the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, an event that sparked widespread protests. The Hennepin County Government Center, located at 300 South 6th Street, serves as the administrative hub for Hennepin County government and houses courts and offices.
