The "Wince Way" protest zone in Uptown Minneapolis was established following the deaths of Winston Smith on June 3, 2021, and Deona Marie ten days later. The area, marked by red pavement and white lettering, became a focal point for demonstrations and community gatherings. The adjacent building features signage for "Libertine," a venue that was present during the period of unrest. This zone served as a public space for expression and remembrance during a period of significant social activism in Minneapolis.
