US Bank Stadium surrounded by security fencing in Minneapolis

US Bank Stadium behind security fencing.

Security fencing surrounds U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis during the period of heightened security surrounding the Derek Chauvin murder trial in April 2021. The stadium, which opened in 2016, is a multi-purpose venue designed to host sporting events, concerts, and other large gatherings. Its construction was part of a broader effort to revitalize the downtown area and provide a modern facility for the city's professional sports teams.
